Trip to Bismarck

We all went to Bis to see my parents last weekend and had a fun time. Grandma and Grandpa watched the boys all saturday night so Gus and I could go out for dinner and to a movie. So nice to have the meal while it was still hot which is an impossible feat at home and to a movie where I could just sit for a couple hours without having housework staring at me. The weather was amazing--Griffin was out throwing snowballs with no coat and the sun was shining! Little different than back in Fargo. We are hoping to make it back to Bis every couple months with the boys. We miss you gramma kassie and don!

Dinner anyone?

So I guess this is what happens when you attempt to make "Cheese Puffs" and you forget the main ingredient......2 cups of milk. I was wondering where the puff part comes in since this was a flat brick. Off we were to McDonalds!

Ian with his Nemo nebulizer

Well Ian continues to have some respiratory issues but seems to be slowly better. We trialed some oral steroids for as long as we could and they worked. As soon as we had to stop them, he started the barking cough and squeeky breathing so here we have home nebulizer treatments. He is eating and sleeping better and just seems to feel better overall. So far he is doing great with them however sometimes we do look a little foolish having us all dancing around and singing to distract him.

While I am doing Ian's treatments, Gus and Griffin get "special time" which is Griffin's favorite!

Splish Splash!

Ian loves his baths (unlike Griffin when he was this age you would have thought we were using scalding hot water with acid soap).

Kung fu fighter

The love for weapons continues.

Not sure if I like the sword fighting, gun shooting, or nunchucking best.

Fun day

Had a fun day as one of our first outings for hours at a time with all 4 of us. Our friends the Lathrops came to visit from Wahpeton today. We had a fun day at Concordia-it was a family day there with 2 free basketball games and the swimming pool was open for all. We all went to Space Aliens for dinner which was as hectic as you can imagine with 4 boys under the age of 6. I even managed to survive without an adult beverage!

Today we also had to open the tubs of clothes for each of the boys to go to the next size up. Man they are getting big! Gus also had to lower Ian's crib as he seems to think he can try getting himself rolling over the edge.

It was a fun day but I am exhausted. Nothing big planned for tomorrow so hoping to just relax a bit. Next weekend we have something going both nights so will need to have some energy for that. Will keep you posted.

State Bank Celebrity footage

Here is the story that aired this week for State Bank's "pay it forward" christmas party. Check it out. So cool! http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/01/11/assignment_america/main3703073.shtml

Thank the lord!

Well, FINALLY Ian has his first tooth. It finally decided to show it's ugly face yesterday and quite honestly, I am not sure I have the patience and energy for him to get any more. That was not a fun experience.....guess we were always lucky with Griffin as we only knew he was getting a tooth when he hada runny nose. Will get a picture as soon as we can in case you are all dying to see.

"Chick-munks"

Grandma Mary and Grandpa Ed took Griffin to "Ronald B. Donalds" for lunch and then to the "Chickmunks" movie as Griffin calls it. He has been giving us a play-by-play of the entire movie since he got home. He was so excited to see it after seeing the previews on TV with his favorite part being when one of the chipmunks says "chick-a-waa-waa." The only problem with the movie was that I guess the mean Uncle in it was named Ian....guess we should have thought about that before nming our little guy.

Griffin's new favorite

Griffin has recently discovered legos and they are his new favorite thing. Of course all his creations are rocketships, fighter jets, airplanes with shootguns, helicoptors that get bad guys, etc.
