I am leaving for my vacation tomorrow during these horrendous times in Fargo. Perfect time to unwind and relax but will be little nervous being away from our local flood disaster. Many people have asked about where I am going in Mexico. About an hour and a half south of Cancun. The area we will be in is called Akumal which is just south of Playa del Carmen and west of Cozumel.

Ian pics
Ian is loving anything "puppy" including movies, books, Lucky the Wonder Pup, and his stuffed doggies! No, that still doesn't mean we are getting a dog for all of you who will be harassing me! He is loving being outside more at daycare but he is known as the dirtiest kid on the playground. Today he soaked thru 2 outfits and 3 pairs of gloves and had mudcaked snowpants and jacket. He even had mud across his face---can you say all boy!?!?!
Swim party
Griffin had a blast last weekend at a swimming party for our friend's little guy who turned 1. It was at Holiday Inn's pirate pool which is his absolute favorite! All was great until he fell and skinned his knees and feet; it was a real emergency....4 bandaids and blood! He did survive but would more than willing to show his war wounds.

SPRING?
We were able to spend a little time outside this weekend and I might add it was perfect snowball weather. Ian's favorite thing was to stomp in the puddles of water; unfortunately some of then were shin deep and that didn't stop him. Griffin loved throwing snowballs at Gus. Griffin was also able to try the new bike he got for his birthday; we are planning to work on ditching the training wheels when summer comes.

Snow day
So today was my first ever snow day since I entered the working world. Luckily for me I was able to stay home as long as I make up the day saturday for medicare. Gus worked from home half the day so didn't need to use PTO. The boys were thrilled to get to stay home but I wasn't so sure by mid-morning. Ian just came off antibiotics 5 days ago and now seems to be getting sick yet again so we will see. He wasn't himself, pretty cranky and super clingy! Griffin was really good but got tired of Ian's fussiness pretty quick. Both boys were a mess by afternoon as both resisted naps so I am hoping we have a peaceful night. The weather today was HORRIBLE! Wind and snow absolutely all day and night. Yesterday one of the drifts by our sunroom was 3ft, then by noon today about 6 and now it seems to be about 12ft. Dreading the drive to work tomorrow. Will wait for morning updates on whether boys will have daycare and if not, looks like dad will be home again tomorrow!

OK, so I have been bad
Gus was gone skiing for the past 6 days and I really had good intentions of catching up on pics and blogging. As you can see I didn't quite get it done but will try soon. All is good with the fam. Ian is talking more and more and Griffin continues to have lots and lots of energy. We have Griffin's Kindergarten Round-Up later this month and he is excited. I leave for a much needed girls getaway in Mexico at the end of the month with a great friend leaving her 2 girls and my 2 boys home with the dads. Ian is starting to really show an interest in the potty which is exciting and continues to be obsessed with books and balls and dogs. Griffin is really seeming like a big guy I swear just since he turned 5. He is a great big brother and is starting to be mom's best buddy playing games at night. He still likes mom's cuddles so that is good. I hope you are still checking the blog and have not given up on me. Will wait and see if anyone comments...hint hint hint!
