Splish splash

Boxing shorts

So guess we need to clarify something with Griffin. He must have heard the word boxer shorts however heard it as boxing shorts. He told me he had to have his ninja turtle boxing shorts on before he and dad could box together. Too cute to correct him.

T-ball continues

You better watch out!
Slide into home plate!
So Griffin had a little more fun this past week at t-ball. He is really showing his talents and his goal continues to be to hit the ball over all everyone's heads. So far so good.

Uh oh!

Ian discovered the tupperware cupboard today. He took everything out and when I saw him he smilled and said "uh oh."

Another fun day

Griffin spent almost 7 hrs outside today playing with the next door neighbor girl Syndey who is 8. Griffin kept telling her he was babysitting her as her parents were out for a bit running errands. We are counting on her as a babysitter in a couple yrs--she was great with the boys! Had Casey and Kerri over tonight for dinner and ladder ball which I would like to say resulted in the championship game "girl power" and of course I dominated taking the first place trophy. Thankfully Ian LOVES being outside just as much as his brother. He loves playing in the grass and the neighborhood swingsets with slides.

Fun in the sun

Spent much of the day outside today and it was gorgeous. We attempted to fill both our pools last night and this morning we were greeted with partially flat pools. Went to buy a new one and they were sold out at the 2 places I went. Luckily our neighbors had theirs up and so Griffin had fun swimming for 2 hrs! Ian also loved the water but the kids were jumping and doing flips so he decided it was time to get out of their way. Thanks for the fun Laiken and Sydney.

Getting ready for summer

It is our official first time getting the pools out for summer. It took forever getting them filled with air then hose water. Griffin just couldn't resist and had to try it out. Very cold but he did go in and out a couple times. Anxious to have it start heating up and seeing what Ian thinks.

Me and my boys!

T-ball

Run Griffin Run!
"Mom, I hit the ball over all their heads." Surprisingly Griffn has not been in love with t-ball (only 2 so far and pretty hot today so maybe that was it). He does really, really well hitting and catching and of course the running since he takes after his parents who are amazing runners! NOT! We went swimming last night which was opening night for the outdoor west fargo pool and let's just say when it is opening day it means it is the day I think they first fill the pool. Felt chilly to me but Griffin didn't mind. He had a blast and we had the place to ourselves. Planning to spend lots of time there this summer!

Happy Father's Day

Today was the first time out to the lake this season. Ian got pretty drowsy on the boat as you can see and Griffin was all about the fishing. He maybe liked the digging up worms part the best! Happy Father's Day Gus!

House

So there are a few of you out there who have not seen our house so I decided to post a couple pics for you. Nothing impressive from the outside but we think it is a beautiful home on the inside. Our dream house!

Critters

So you see the suet feeder? Story of my life. Either we have some very hungry birds or some other critter is getting into it. Going thru one a day and we have no squirrels so will have to set up a spy camera. Then the damn rabbits! We got all new landscaping last summer and this summer they came back to replace anything that didn't make it (you have a 1 yr guarantee). Well they replaced some things but within hours the damn rabbits enjoyed those also. You can clearly see something is missing. We have been spraying various nasty concoctions on the plants but can't seem to keep them away. Not cool!

New camera #2

So I just wasn't sold on our new camera so I went and bought the other we were debating about. So far loving it. What do you think about the clarity?

State Bank and Redhawks

Only made it for a very short time at the State Bank Family Night at the Redhawks game last night. Got rained out so headed home, got a sitter, and went out for adult beverages with Casey and Kerri. Grif did awesome with a total stranger watching him and even told me about what they were going to play next time she comes over! Total success of a night I say. Also...apparently Ian LOVES boiled hotdogs. Casey, you are going to have fight over those with someone else now! Note the picnic we had trying to stay dry. Thankfully Griffin has already gotten his visit in with Hawkeye (at Ribfest last weekend).

Ribfest

Here are a few pics from Ribfest. We went as a family but Gus brought Ian home to rest. Griffin ended up playing on the inflatable games for 4 hrs that day. Best 6 dollar wristband ever! Ian loved the BBQ ribs so we know he really is a part of our family.

New camera

So we got the new camera and so far I like it. Still struggling to show videos on this darn blog and wanted you to see a cute one but will keep working on it. Here is an updated pics of the boys. Ian is getting into everything now that he can walk everywhere. Griffin is finally showing an interest in playing games which is something I want so bad. So many memories of playing board games and really would like for the boys to get into it. Now we just have to work on how to be a better loser. Griffin likes to win!

Summer is here...finally!

Spent the entire day outside and the boys loved it! Ian is constantly on the go now walking and exploring and just being curious. Griffin continues to run, run, run ALL THE TIME!

Our little boy

So it was finally time to cut Ian's hair when Griffin said "he looks like my little sister." Ian was such a sport with the scissor and razor cutting. Lil' Whipper Snippers you are worth every penny! They had examples how they put the little piece of hair or curl in a ribbon and theones they showed were like an inch long. When it came time to tie Ian's up, it ended up being nearly 4 in. OK, so it was time. He looks like such a little man now and seems to be loving having the curls out of his ears.
